Are you looking for ways to ensure success in a new job - Either at your current employer or elsewhere? Do you want to make sure that your success is sustainable?

We've all seen that "it's not our parents' workplace anymore." The "social contract" between employers and employees has changed: employers no longer provide a lifetime job in exchange for hard work and loyalty and employees have become free agents - willing and able to go where the challenges are interesting and the compensation is competitive. If we want a career, it's up to us to manage it - from day one, and even before.

Peter Jacobs, an INSEAD alum and career coach, will take you through a 10-step process from before you begin a new job to beyond the first 90 days that will enable you to take control of both your performance and your future. You'll leave the session with the raw material for the short- and long-term plan that will guide your future success.

About the presenter:

Peter Jacobs coaches bored, frustrated, stuck, or just ambitious business professionals to build careers that fit their values, skills, interests, and needs. Peter's clients achieve

Desirable and sustainable changes in their career;

Clarity about what they want to do next professionally and how work will fit into their life as a whole;

An improved success rate at landing interviews and receiving offers;

Greater success in the workplace (in the form of better interpersonal relationships, promotions, and more interesting projects); and

The satisfaction of knowing that they are being paid what they're worth.

Thanks to 14 years cumulative business experience up to the manager and director level at Arthur Young, Price Waterhouse, Intel, and a high-tech start-up, combined with a MA in Career Development and coaching training from the Newfield Network, Peter offers his clients a combination of the analytical, marketing-oriented approach of a consultant and the ability to coach people around the obstacles that separate them from success.
